This project was completed in the Garden Oaks subdivision of Houston, Texas, where we performed a professional soft wash cleaning of a covered back patio ceiling and exposed rafter system. Due to the shaded environment and Houston’s humidity, the surfaces had developed organic growth, mildew, and atmospheric staining that cannot be safely removed with high pressure.
We used a low-pressure soft washing process designed specifically for painted ceilings, wood rafters, and architectural details. This method allows cleaning solutions to break down organic contaminants at the root, ensuring a deep, restorative clean without damaging paint, wood fibers, or finishes.
Soft washing is the preferred method for patio ceilings, exposed rafters, soffits, and outdoor living spaces, as it provides longer-lasting results compared to pressure washing and reduces the risk of surface damage.
